Queen’s have won this UCL fixture for the previous five years, but they didn’t come close to repeating that in the last fxture of 2012. Ballymena enjoyed the lion’s share of possession and should have scored more than the four tries that they managed. Near the end of the game Ballymena were leading14-12 by virtiue of two close range tries to two rather better efforts from Queen’s. Another lineout drive and a try put Ballymena clear and that seemed to be that, but straight from the kick off outhalf Rory Drysdale made a great break and found Tim Small in support who scored far out to make the final score 24-12
