I’ve been a Badger fan longer than I’ve been watching rugby, with my favourites being Tangle Foot and Fursty Ferret – it was quite fitting that it was a bottle of the latter where I saw the ultimate beer shed competition advertised! The shed has many incredible features from the stadium style seating, to the pie oven, but the best has to be the massive screen and surround sound system to watch every try and hear every hit.”

SARACENS STARS HELP DISABLED YOUNGSTERS

Four Saracens stars lent their support to a community project which helps children with learning difficulties.

Former England centre Brad Barritt was joined by flanker Will Fraser, scrum-half Neil De Kock and hooker Schalk Brits as the youngsters with autism were put through their paces at the first pre-season training session.

The players joined in the session at Allianz Park in Hendon and all had a go at the cross bar challenge and the tackling bags. Afterwards they handed out gongs at an award ceremony in the club lounge to the youngsters aged between 12-20 years old.

The sessions are organised by Tomas Gamage of the Sarries Sport Foundation programme and sponsored by London car dealership Alan Day VW. The players and staff members from Alan Day, including managing director Paul Tanner, give up their time for free to assist with the coaching.

The Sarries programme for disabled youngsters has expanded over the last few months and there are now 20 students attending with a growing waiting list.

For the salad, cut the courgettes and carrots into matchsticks or use a spiralizer to turn them into ‘courgetti’ and ‘carretti’.

Cube the pork steaks and thread the cubes of pork onto four skewers

For the pork, heat barbecue coals until they are ashen or a gas barbecue to medium.

Mix together the orange juice, oil and sesame seeds and pour over the vegetables. Toss lightly until coated.
