A new Ladies team has formed at Ards RFC, and they completed their first night of training on 21st July.
The rain poured down heavier than anyone could remember but the squad braved the elements and completed a successful first night.
Form the side-lines it was amazing to see how quickly the spine of this team could be formed with girls who would easily fit into the different needs of a rugby team. The fitness levels were good and we could see the beginnings of a possible bright future.
Starting a team is no easy project and their coach Ross Reid said “Its a pleasure to be involved and we think we can really create a fun atmosphere for anyone to get involved.”
Intouch will be blogging reports on their progress and based on what we seen tonight there is every possibillity that in a short time from now there will be massive strides made by Ards Ladies.
Well done!!
