For the 2nd year in succession Randalstown Rugby Club have been fortunate enough to benefit from the Ulster Bank Rugby Force initiative. The club received a cheque for £250, along with a commemorative plaque, T-shirts for all participants and an Ulster Bank Rugby Force Banner.
The financial reward was used towards planned club improvements and to help fund DIY tools. This led to a ‘Workforce Saturday’ when a team of enthusiastic members, under the direction of Ground and Property Chairman Dan Wilson, spend the day cleaning, painting and generally making over in preparation for the new season.
This is a continuation of the renovations that hav been taking place in the clubhouse over the last couple of years. Club President Derek Waddell was as usual in the thick of all the endeavours on Saturday and he was fulsome in his thanks for the financial contribution from Ulster Bank, and for the efforts of the members who helped out on Saturday, and over the course of the summer.
