The tour party left Saskatoon and moved to Edmonton where they played one game against the Edmonton Barbarians U18 team. Royal School, Armagh coach, Kenny Hooks, decided to give the younger members of his squad an opportunity to play together as an U17 team. They did not disappoint with their performance against the Edmonton team. The visitors won the tough game, played in temperatures of around 30 degrees, by 44-3. The entire team played well but there were standout performances from John McDonagh and Nigel Simpson.
