A great night’s craic was had by the 12 competing teams, with Team Aguilera stealing the trophy on a tie-break.
With quiz-master Craig Cooper firing the questions, and ‘policemen’ Jake Harrison and AJ keeping an eye on any potential ungentlemanly conduct the pub quiz, in aid of the tour to Italy next summer, took place in the clubhouse on Friday night.

Despite fielding what should have been an ineligible team (read the rules guys) which strangely enough contained the club chairman, club secretary and one of the senior coaches (not to mention a specially flown-in ringer from New Zealand), the 8-man team Aguilera snatched the lead from the Bar Babes on a tie-break question.
Thanks must go to the tour organising committeee for running the event, and the players who provided a very welcome supper during the quiz.
Instead of finding the Joker, the lucky (?) ballot winner picked the 4 of Diamonds, so the jackpot continues to grow. The next opportunity to ‘Find the Joker’ will be during the Dee-day festivities in August. Keep an eye on the website for more details on this event.
