NAME: Chris Corrie
POSITION: Tight Head Prop Forward
CLUBS: Virginia RFC

When did rugby begin for you? I started playing in 02 at 7 years for Virginia RFC.

Most Memorable Moment? So far it was Virginia U17s when i played tight head against Banbridge in the Ulster Bowl semi final, we turned over one or two of their balls!

Technical Development? Malachy McNally taught me everything I know and i have always been helped by Kevin Gallagher and all the coaches who have given me their time.

What Does A Scrum Feel Like? Its brilliant, I get a great buzz out of it, adrenalin and pump, in the scrum its all a bit of a blur, I just focus on beating the man in front of me.

Who is the biggest bandit on the Ulster Squad & Virginia RFC Squad: Macauley Little on the Ulster Squad is having the craic all the time, but there all a good bunch of guys, but in Virginia its the entire squad lol. I love them all to bits lol.

Coke, Pepsi or Red Bull? All of the above – as mixers lol

What does it mean to play prop? Everything. To protect the ball, to be the pillars of the team. On a skill basis i focus on getting the upper hand from the engagement itself, getting the first push on and working with the 2nd rows. If i do my job then the whole team knows they have a solid foundation. That feels great and feels important.
