Ballymoney Rugby Football Club will be hosting the County Antrim Pipe Band Championships on the weekend of June 2nd. This is the first time that the Borough has held the competition and we hope it is a great success.

The First Grade Competition will start at 12.00 noon and the last competition featuring Grade 1 Bands will conclude around 4.30 pm. Centre Bands will be at 5.00 pm. A total of 36 pipe bands will be competing throughout the day.

Band members will be arriving from 10.00 am onwards and the air will be filled with the sound of pipes and drums. If you have never experienced this type of competition, I would encourage you to come along to the club and soak up the atmosphere of a great musical tradition.

The Council will also be providing a bus on the day to take spectators from the Club into the town and then also up towards the Ballymoney Agricultural Show. The bus will then return back to the club again. This bus will depart at regular intervals throughout the day on a circular route. Also there will be a variety of stalls on the day and bouncy castles etc at the Club Grounds. Car parking will be about 50m beyond the club.

We are all hoping for a great day at the club and we would encourage you to attend to experience a feast of Tartan and Sound.
