Week two of the rugby league season saw the return of Ulster Champions Ballynahinch Rabbitohs and Leinster powerhouse Dublin City Exiles to the action after both sides were given bye weeks in the opening round.
In Ulster the Rabbitohs got their season off to the ideal start when they saw off provinicial rivals the Fermanagh Redksins by a scoreline of 42-12 on Thurdsay evening at Ballymacaron Park.
The second meeting of the week took place on Friday evening when the Strangford Sharks picked up a win over the Portadown Pumas by 54-16. The third scheduled fixture in the Ulster League between the Maiden City Broncos and North Coast Boomers has been rescheduled for a later date.
In Leinster the Dublin City Exiles got their assault on the Leinster League to a perfect start when they left the Tallaght Tigers reeling after an 82-0 victory.
The second fixture in Leinster saw the Portarlington Wolverines go to the top of the table with a 52-32 win over the Clondalkin Crusaders.
In Munster the Treaty City Titans kept up their bid for another Munster title with a 46-14 away to the Galway Tribesmen leaving them top of the table after two rounds.
The second fixture of the round in Munster saw the Country Cowboys get their campaign off to a winning start as the overcame the Cork Bulls by 52-12.
Leinster and Ulster clubs will take a break next weekend as the Interprovincial Championships gets underway in Belfast.
