Ballymoney Seconds travelled to Carrick on Saturday and were down to 14men after 10mintues put pulled togther to run out desvered winners 17 – 30. The win means the 2nd’s in 2nd place in the league and are guarnteed a top 3 finish. Whether they finish in 2nd or 3rd depends on the results of the remining Ballinahinch games. The win is a confidence boost before the Crawford Cup final on Easter Tuesday.

Captain John Bellingham commented “We had a number of changes today and rested a few of the guys who had received knocks in the semi-final game against Dungannon last week. The guys who were on the bench last week all started on Saturday and put in some good performacnes which will make the selection for the final even more difficult”
Ballymoney RFC has organised a number of buses to travel to Ravenhill on Easter Tuesday for members, friends and supporters to take advantage off. The 5th XV held on to beat Tir Chonaill 27 – 22. This still leaves the 5th XV bottom of the league but on positive points and the win is a reward for the hard work they have all put in. Results had been getting better since the start of the season and with the season over the players are already looking forward to next year where many of them can build on their experience of the first year of senior rugby.
