Mark McKenna opened the scoring after a strong maul had forced the visitors back. The Valley had the edge up front particularly at scrum time and this would lead to the second try. B J surged forward from an advancing scrum to release the backline. Great hands by Trotter and Whyte put Coulter into space and the full-back raced away for a great score.
Another sweeping backline movement resulted in Whyte crossing for a deserved touchdown as Clogher threatened to run riot. Ballymoney did however up their game as the clock edged towards the forty.
