The quarter finals of the First Trust Senior Cup were played on Saturday with Ballymena, Instonians, City of Derry and Banbridge all progressing.
City of Derry puled off a surprise 34-40 away win over Ballynahinch in a high scoring encounter. There were no tries in a dour game at Stevenson Park with four David O’Hara penalties enough for Ballymena defeat Dungannon 9-12.
