Fresh from an underwhelming performance last week away at Cooke, Omagh responded to their critics to turn in a strong all round performace to beat mid table rivals, Portadown by 18 points to 5 and keep alive the chance of a top half of the table finish.
This victory will have pleased the Accies camp with several new combinations in the front, second, and back rows, while the backline was again juggled having an extremely youthful look.
More adventurous from the start and with strong performances from Mark Smyth,, John Sproule and Mark Hopton-Brown in the pack, forceful running from centre Yonga Taleni and a very mature and controlled display from a new set of half backs in Scott Elliott at 9 and Neil MacLaine at 10, neither of whom had started for the Accies at Saturdays positions, the home side were well worth the win. …… CLICK HERE for the full report !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
