Clogher Valley continued its challenge for Qualifying One honours with a workmanlike 15-7 victory over Ballyclare at the Cran.
In a game that failed to spark in the occasionally inclement weather, and on a sticky pitch, it was Valley who were to exert most pressure in the opening quarter.

A hack through from Speer brought play into the visitors’ 22 in the opening minutes. Further Valley attacks were to produce Valley’s first try-scoring opportunity on 17 minutes after Trotter hoisted a kick high into the Ballyclare 22.
