A beautiful summer evening, not too warm, perfect conditions. The ground at Ravenhill was sweet with fresh new spring grass and the crowd swelled to quite a number for the two teams who had battled and fought every step of the way to get to Ravenhill.

Grosvenor came out of the stalls with a vengance the props and second rows, in fact the team to a man obliterated the Queens Defence and went something like 20 points clear in the first half.

Queens got a few back before half time and then in the second half thay showed why they were able to beat Academy. They pulled away convincingly and dominated the play in every respect. They were up on Grosvenor with immense pace, and those split seconds of speed brought them the 50/50 balls, in the ruck, lineout, maul and they scrummaged well.
All credit to Grosvenor who were immense in the frist 35 minutes.
The victory deservedly went to Queens. Again as in many of these high quality finals it is not that Grosvenor did anything wrong. Far from it, they played very very well and will surely be a force to be reckoned with in next seasons Q2.
Queens simply played really really well.
