Solid win for 2nd XV over Cavan

Ballymoney 2XV score 3 tries on their way to a 22-8 victory over County Cavan RFC.
The Ballymoney 2XV were looking to get back on track after falling to their first defeat of the season two weeks previous in Portadown. This weeks opponents where Cavan 1XV, who made the long trip to Kilraughts Road. In the half backs, Jamesy Campbell returned from Sweden to start at 10, with new man, Brendan Park joining him at Scrum Half. Up front, Russell Blair added some bulk in the second row as Chris Morrison provided the speed around the park at 7.
Ballymoney couldn’t have got off to a better start, with repeated infringements by Cavan giving James Campbell at straight forward shot at goal, which he slotted with ease. It was then a sense of deja vu, as only a few moments later, Campbell found himself with another chance in a similar position, but this time he pulled to the left.
