Perennials Rugby I XV arrived at Bangor for the hotly anticipated game v Bangor President Select XV.
Bangor rugby had prepared meticulously in some cases persuading former hogh level bangor rugby svengalies to grace the pitch in this their 125th Anniversary season and do battle once more in the name of Bangor Rugby.

All the work by both teams to field their best possible XV had paid off because the rugby was superb, free flowing with many tries executed by both sides.
Perennials won on the day but lets not forget this Bangor side do not play regularly and to have put at least 5 tries up against the Perennials was quite a feat. In fact they could have won.
Played on Sundays after partying on the Saturday night Perennials also kick off i hour earlier than their Saturday counterparts.
Bangor were there to win, an extremely competitive played in a series of 20 minute raging up and down the pitch immense skills on display,
Bangor scored a number of well worked it was a bout 7-5 to perennials open rugby socred in the corner with golden oldies and guys who played high level rugby showing very good rugby as did the perennials
Roger McAuley for example scored atleast 3 on the wing a CIYMS man now in the Perennials, a slightly fairer figure than his hay day but still scored a hat trick!
congratulations to both teams on an excellent game and we believe the post macth analysis continued for some time in Bangor Rugby Club House.
