Teams registering before March 11th can win the same exclusive prize for the Ireland v England game”
The growth of IRFU Tag has been phenomenal and this year’s programme expects to see over 1,000 teams and 12,000 participants at quality venues all based in rugby clubs across Ireland. With summer leagues running from May to July, teams register early every year to avoid missing out on a place in venues which can fill up by the end of the month.
In addition, this year will see IRFU Beach Tag returning to Portstewart. More information on this will be announced shortly in 2011.
The IRFU Tag leagues cater for all levels of skill and fitness in mixed social teams from A grade through to C grade. The growth of Tag has been greatly successful in spreading the popularity of the game of rugby and its non-contact nature and social aspect have made it accessible to both men and women in these specially graded levels.
Registration of teams to play is performed online only on the IRFU Tag website, www.irfutag.ie. As reflection of the current economic climate, all registration fees have now been reduced to €400 or below per team, which means that a player in effect pays less than €4 per week to play an IRFU Tag season.
Players on teams registering before March 11th can qualify for an exclusive prize of a VIP day out at the Ireland v England game on March 19th. To find out how to qualify for the VIP match day draw, register a team or join the mailing list, visit www.irfutag.ie
