line-height: 20px; padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px;\">\n<div><strong>Step-by Step guide launched to help grow girls minis<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>The Irish Rugby Football Union are aiming to capitalise on the success and interest in the recent Women&#8217;s Rugby World Cup by supporting anyone who wants to develop girls minis rugby teams across the country with the launch of a new initiative \u2013 &#8220;<em>Give it a Try \u2013 Girls minis<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The IRFU developed a step-by-step guide and support pack, which includes balls, bibs and cones, to encourage parents, former players, potential volunteers and everyone else who may wish to develop a girls minis team in their locality \u2013 even if they have no background or experience playing rugby.<\/p>\n<p>The guide will be issued to rugby clubs throughout the country, encouraging them to identify someone to develop a girls minis team and is also available on the Irish Rugby website, for those who are not yet affiliated with a club, but wish to learn more.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/matchdaymail.irishrugby.ie\/lt.php?c=2154&amp;m=3893&amp;nl=21&amp;s=97eb06177e7740e0e7fa513e023d4704&amp;lid=47945&amp;l=-http--www.irishrugby.ie\/downloads\/IRFU_GirlsMinis1415.pdf\">http:\/\/www.irishrugby.ie\/downloads\/IRFU_GirlsMinis1415.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition the IRFU is re-launching its successful\u00a0<strong><em>Give it a Try<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0programme, which was introduced following the Grand Slam win of 2013 and resulted in an additional 14 clubs fielding women&#8217;s teams, with open days taking place in clubs across the country.\u00a0 Details of open days are available on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/matchdaymail.irishrugby.ie\/lt.php?c=2154&amp;m=3893&amp;nl=21&amp;s=97eb06177e7740e0e7fa513e023d4704&amp;lid=47946&amp;l=-http--www.irishrugby.ie\/giveitatry\">www.irishrugby.ie\/giveitatry<\/a>\u00a0, with more clubs signing up each week.<\/p>\n<p>The IRFU will also repeat its\u00a0<strong>Play Rugby<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Play Girls Rugby<\/strong>\u00a0programmes, which last year resulted in almost\u00a0<strong>7,000<\/strong>\u00a0primary school girls and\u00a0<strong>5,500<\/strong>\u00a0secondary school girls partaking in variations of the game of rugby.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nora Stapleton, Women &amp;
