{"id":12365,"date":"2015-07-10T20:06:22","date_gmt":"2015-07-10T19:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/intouchrugby.com\/connacht\/?p=12365"},"modified":"2015-07-10T20:07:50","modified_gmt":"2015-07-10T19:07:50","slug":"womens-interprovincial-series-set-to-raise-temperatures-this-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/intouchrugby.com\/connacht\/womens-interprovincial-series-set-to-raise-temperatures-this-august\/","title":{"rendered":"Women\u2019s Interprovincial Series set to raise temperatures this August FIXTURES ANNOUNCED HERE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Women&#8217;s Interprovincial Series set to raise temperatures this August <\/p>\n<p>The IRFU have today announced the dates, time and venues for the start of the Women&#8217;s Interprovincial completion which will see defending champion Munster travel to face Connacht in the Sportsground, while Leinster, last year&#8217;s runners-up, travel to Portadown RFC to face Ulster on Saturday 22nd August.<\/p>\n<p>Irish women&#8217;s rugby has gone from strength to strength in recent years and with the introduction of the Women&#8217;s national team into the IRFU high performance department, the team&#8217;s success in the 2015 Six Nations and players now targeting a coveted place on the national team ahead of the mouth-watering Women Rugby World Cup 2017, to be held in Dublin and Belfast, the stakes have never been higher in the women&#8217;s game.<\/p>\n<p>Nora Stapleton, IRFU Women and Girls Development Executive said,  &#8220;Last year saw Munster defend their title with a clean sweep of wins over the other three Provinces.  As the standard of our national team increases so too does the standard of the interprovincial matches.<\/p>\n<p>All Provinces now feature numerous International players as well as up and coming talent looking to push on to the Ireland squad as we build towards the 2017 World Cup to be held on home soil.
