Rugby World Cup 2015 flagship store opens its doors

The Oxford Street store has opened its doors

With global excitement and anticipation building ahead of Rugby World Cup 2015, the flagship official retail store has opened its doors in London’s Oxford Street.

Located in the heart of one of the world’s best-known and busiest retail locations, the launch at 156 Oxford Street follows the opening of the Covent Garden store earlier this year, which is proving a hit with fans and tourists alike.

The 2,100 square-feet store showcases and stocks the complete Rugby World Cup 2015 range, featuring must-have gifts and apparel for men, women and children and with the festive-season fast-approaching, the collections are in high-demand.

Collections include the iconic Webb Ellis Cup collection, the popular countries collection, the Rugby World Cup collection, 20 Unions range and the dual branded England Rugby range delivered in collaboration with the RFU.

Accompanying the collections is an exciting range of official licensed products, including the official Gilbert MATCH XV ball, jewellery, mugs, pins, towels, glassware, belts and much more.

Rugby World Cup Limited Managing Director Brett Gosper said: “The opening of the flagship store in one of the world’s iconic and busiest retail locations further underscores the popularity and excitement around a Rugby World Cup that promises to be the biggest and best yet.”

Sportfolio (the official retailer for RWC 2015) CEO Ross Munro said: “The great success of the Covent Garden official store has given us the platform to open a second store on this prestigious street. With strong sales online and in-store, we have no doubt that consumer excitement reinforces the belief that Rugby World Cup 2015 will be a very special event.”

To mark the launch, Sportfolio is running a social media competition for the chance to win a £500 voucher to spend online or in-store. For more details visit @rugbyworldcup.
