UL BOHEMIAN 20 BUCCANEERS 13
A battling UL Bohemian side hit Buccaneers with a three try salvo in the final quarter to earn a priceless 20-13 victory in their Ulster Bank League Division 1B game played at Limerick University on Saturday. The Pirates will rue again letting another win slip from their clutches as they suffered their fifth successive defeat and they now lie in sixth place as the league reaches the halfway stage.
Due to the severe weather this fixture was switched from Thomond Park to Annacotty before a late change saw it moved to the G4 pitch on the University of Limerick campus with an early 1 p.m. kick off. The playing surface may have been welcome but there was absolutely no shelter from the foul weather for player, spectator or note-taker! UL Bohs had three changes to their lineup from their narrow defeat at Ballymena while Buccs again had sweeping changes, eight on this occasion!
