Carrick U16 squad travelled down to Galway today to play Galwegian Blacks in the U16 Development league. Due to injuries, we were slightly under players for the game but Galwegians generously transferred a few of their players for the day so that we could play a 15-a-side match. Sadly, we had to give them back after the game, but you can’t have everything.
It was a glorious day with clear sunshine and not a breeze in the sky, and the well drilled
Galwegians burst out of the blocks with all cylinders firing. Sadly, Carrick was slow to wake up after the long journey, or to familiarise themselves to the 15 man game.
