Tuam welcomed the Mayo side on a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon in the j1b league. Tuam started brightly with two quick fire trys from winger Rory Cosgrove,both trys scored in the corner so it made the touchline conversions difficult so after 10 minutes the home side were 10-0 up. Ballyhaunis struck with 2 penalties just before the half hour mark as tuam wasted a few try scoring chances. 10-6 at half time to tuam.
