On Sunday September 27th Carrick on Shannon RFC U14 team took on a Longford selection in Longford.
It was an excellent opportunity for Carrick to get some competitive match practice prior to the start of the U14 Connacht league in the next few weeks. Carrick started the game with a more experienced team but quickly introduced some new players off the bench to give them their first taste of action. Carrick settled into the game more quickly and had racked up a sizeable lead before Longford struck back with a number of excellent tries to leave the match very much in the balance for the last quarter.
