    BALLINA 17—6 BALLINASLOE
    Ballina overcame a doughty Ballinasloe team thanks to two late converted tries in this Junior1A league game at Heffernan Park on Sunday. Played in strong sunlight and on a heavy pitch, this clash provided all that is honest and endearing about junior rugby.
    Ballinasloe were forced to make two changes to the pack that started against Buccaneers last week-end with J.J.Carey and Kieran Coughlan unavailable, James Curley and Der Tierney deputised respectively.
    The visitors were as feisty as ever from the start and were ahead as early as the 5th minute when Ross Keller kicked a penalty after Ballina were penalised for coming in at the side of a ruck.
