Terrific start to the rugby “touring” season with the girls section heading to Claremorris today.

The U12s teamed up with old friends Castlebar and Westport and played fabulous running rugby, put in tough ,crunching tackles and scored some brilliant tries against bigger, more experience teams from Ballinasloe, Porttumna, Claremorris and Galwegians.

Our “three musketeers” U10s joined up with girls from Ballina and Westport, playing wegians, Sligo and Claremorris in a fantastic mini blitz.

A well deserved stop off at supermacs for ice cream on way home for the team.

The much needed club song/anthem was also composed on the bus back. It owes a lot to a certain village people song complete with actions – looking forward to seeing the juniors perform it!

Thanks to mums’ Siobhan, Joan & Tina for their travelling support and help at the blitz
