AS if professionals don’t have enough physical pain to worry about in later life, new research suggests an over-reliance on ‘Big Brother’ surveillance in coaching can be bad for your health too.

A paper from researchers at the University of Bath has called into question the effectiveness and over-reliance of surveillance technologies which are now commonly used in coaching to monitor player performance in elite rugby.
