Carrick RFC AGM – The Bush Hotel, June 14that 8PM
Carrick RFC will hold their AGM in the Bush Hotel on June 14th at 8PM. All players, parents, coaches or anyone with an interest in rugby is welcome to attend.
Carrick RFC Annual Awards and Dinner Dance.
To finish the rugby season in style, Carrick RFC will be hosting their Annual Awards.
Ceremony and Dinner Dance this coming Friday 17 June in the Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon.
With Eric Elwood confirmed as the Guest Speaker on the night, the former Connacht and Ireland player will be the star attraction, bringing with him the Pro 12 Trophy to celebrate Connacht’s first major win at professional level and showing that rugby in Connacht is certainly on an upward trajectory. For Galway man Elwood, who made over 150 appearances for Connacht prior to commencing his coaching career, the win will no doubt hold a special significance as he moves into his new role as kicking coach for the province, and should be a great incentive in the coming season when Connacht come to defend their hard-earned title.
Carrick Seniors’ league-topping success over the last season has mirrored that of Connacht, with their run of wins bringing them to the top of the J2 league and earning them promotion to the next level and is certainly encouraging in terms of the team’s potential for the season ahead.
The season culminates next Friday evening with the club’s Awards Ceremony, where the achievements of both players and coaches will be recognised with awards being sponsored by a number of local businesses. With music provided by Late Nite Radio the event promises to close the season with a dazzling finale bringing together all sections of the club for a great night of entertainment.
This event is almost sold out, with only a limited number of tickets remaining so to purchase your tickets please contact the organisers on 086 859 4497.
