ASICS GIVES SPRINGBOKS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE FOR RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015

ASICS releases episode 5 of the Springboks undergoing product innovation testing in the search for marginal gains ahead of World Cup 2015.

ASICS has today released the fifth and final video in a teaser series building up to the official World Cup kit launch on June 4th. All products have been designed with direct player insights and the latest technology available to ensure the Springboks have a competitive advantage at World Cup 2015.

ASICS rugby apparel is designed to increase evasion, marginal gains and performance. Bearing this in mind ASICS has created a jersey to make the Springboks unstoppable. The technology focuses on a careful balance that allows the players to bind on to each other as well as being harder to stop.

Eben Etzebeth, Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira and Bismarck du Plesis are seen being put through their paces as they take part in rugby-specific performance testing at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science, Kobe, Japan (ISS). The ISS is at the forefront of research into sports product, helping athletes achieve their goals.

This is the final teaser video in the build up to the official launch on June 4th 2015, where further details will be revealed. Each video has demonstrated ASICS technical advancement in assisting with player recovery, stamina, movement and performance.
