Mils Muliana: ‘I knew I had to knuckle down and learn from my mistakes’
MILS MULIAINA is a long way from home but he is surrounded by familiar faces. Well one, anyway; his own.
The billboards of Galway are adorned by the image of Connacht’s first All Black as the province look to capitalise on his presence and sell the last of their season tickets ahead of the new campaign.
Convincing one of game’s biggest names to pitch up west of the Shannon was a considerable coup for Pat Lam and this week the new arrival has been getting used to his new surrounds.
If he was in any doubt that his being here was a big deal, it didn’t last long. When he arrived at the Connacht Hotel on Tuesday night they literally rolled out the red carpet and the staff gave him a guard of honour to the door.
