In cold, wet and windy conditions, the lads stuck to the game plan, keeping the ball in close, playing controlled, effective rugby. A big and powerful Connemara pack tried to dominate the early exchanges, but some resolute defending soaked up pressure and kept the visitors out in the opening minutes. The ORFC pack then got on the front foot at the breakdown and set pieces, distrupting the visitors scrum and lineouts, resulting in two very different first half tries……..
