Reminder: Gort RFC Volunteer Day in association with Ulster Bank RugbyForce Saturday 16th August. Everyone is welcome to “pitch” in from 1pm in St Colmans Park with some light maintenance work. So come along, bring your paint brush, wheelbarrow or shovel with you and join us for a bbq after our work is done. We will also be registering adult & underage players on the day. Morning all – just a note to say that we have had confirmation from the Connacht Branch that the Connacht players and pro-management team will be visiting the club on Wednesday 13th August from about 12.30pm. This is the follow up from the rugby camp a few weeks ago where they were unable to attend.
As well as the kids who were at the camp that week all family members, friends, sponsors, club members etc are invited to attend on the day and get involved whilst the guys are down doing a couple of coaching drills and some games etc.
We appreciate that being a Wednesday afternoon may not suit everyone but this is a great opportunity for the club and it would be great to put ourselves forward and get behind our young players so would hope that people make the effort to get over and support.
Keep an eye out for further details as it is yet to be confirmed if the event will be at the pitch or the school.
